SGS audits the “Q de Calidad Turística” in Mijas and certifies it´s environmental management system ISO 14001
SGS has assessed the coast of Mijas to audit the parameters that ensures its quality service, safety and professionalism. In the scope of environmental certification there are fifteen beaches audited. While in the scope of “Q de Calidad Turística” includes eight out of these fifteen.
The ISO 14001 certificates and the “Q de Calidad Turística” flags were given in a ceremony that was held on June 28. In this ceremony our delegate in Malaga, Antonio Martinez, was the responsible to give them to the Mayor of Mijas, Angel Nozal.
Obtaining the “Q de Calidad Turistica”, as Antonio Martinez said, "is an important distinctive, reliable and rigorous, that only those who pass a series of strict rules can obtain this award”. “Q de Calidad Tusistica” is awarded by the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute (ICTE) under a demanding national legislation.
For the ISO 14001 environmental certificate issued by SGS "it´s governed by international parameters common to 161 countries," as said the delegate in Malaga, Antonio Martinez. This certification can only be obtained accord to nature conservation and the exploitation of the coast.
