On September 18, the Roman Theatre in Cartagena hosted a conference about environmental sustainability and food security organized by SGS and the city of Cartagena in order to bring the local business trends and most pressing developments in the sector and with the aim of serving to increase their competitiveness and ability to tourist attraction.

The conference purposed the improve of business processes from legal requirements for sustainability, and access the various grants and support available for implementing measures relating to the use of sustainable materials and reducing emissions carbon dioxide.

Among the attendees we could count with Joaquin Mowing, Councillor for Environment and Employment of Cartagena, Javier Lopez, an expert in energy efficiency, Álvaro Pérez, CEO of SGS in Murcia, Mariano Romero, Division of Development SGS in Murcia, Cristina Escribano , SGS Consumer Testing Services and Alfredo Ruiz Merida  Indoor Air Quality and Energy department in SGS plus local businessmen and representatives of associations.
