The Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago has initiated a consultation period for its draft mandatory standard on the migration of heavy metals from toy materials. The new standard is expected to become effective by March 2020.

EU Commission Harmonizes Toy Trampoline Standard EN 71-14:2018

In the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) EU commission decision 2019/1254 was published on July 22, 2019. The decision harmonizes the revised toy trampoline standard EN 71-14:2018. Only harmonized standards can be used to show compliance to the EU Toy Directive 2009/48/EC. The previous version EN 71-14:2014+A1:2017 may be used until 22 January 2020.
