SGS gave recently the ISO 9001 Quality Management certification to Ontinyent’s Council Social Services Department for disabled and underaged’s daycentres, occupational centres and the department’s own services. It is the first Valencia’s Council to get all their Social Services accredited with ISO 9001 Certification.
This certificate issuance has taken place in an event with the attendance of Juan Manuel Arnandis, SGS South East Region Manager and José Antonio Fernández, SGS’ Sales Manager for Valencia. On behalf of Ontinyent’s council, Teresa Moyá, the Social Services town Councillor, has received the certificate.
This certification proves the commitment to the guideline stated by Generalitat Valenciana in order to allow the councils to have certifications to accredit the compliance with quality-related international regulations. The certificate Ontinyent’s council has received guarantees the observance with ISO 9001 in each one of the centres depending from that department.
Disabled Persons’ Daycentre provides daycare to adult people suffering intellectual incapacities and permanent support needs. “El Rogle” Under aged Daycentre provides support to minors, as well as a socio-labour insertion programme. The occupational centre provides therapeutic occupation and development of personal skills for people intellectually disabled with with enough age to work. This certificate also deals with Social Services Deparment, both for information, orientation and advice support as well as social emergency plans, under aged intervention and in-home support.
Juan Manuel Arnandis, Andalucía and Valencia’s SGS ICS Manager has remarked “the amplitude of this certificate and the big importance of the work invested to achieve it”. “Now the most important task is to maintain the certificate and to maintain it subjected to the quality criteria ISO 9001 imposes”, has added.
