Murcia s Consejería de Agricultura, first Public Body in Spain to achieve Information Security Certification
Such recognition ensures information safety in all the body’s actions, widely complying with current safety Regulation.SGS ICS, Ibérica S.A.’s, Ramón Robles, has recently given information security ISO 27001 certification, related to the management of European subsidies FEADER and FEAGA, to Murcia’s Agricultura y Agua’s Counsellor, Antonio Cerdá.
By achieving this goal, Murcia’s Consejería de Agricultura y Agua is the first public body in Spain’s Administration to obtain this recognition, as well as the first Murcia’s organisation to get certificated. The certification ensures that Consejería has a continuous improvement system structured in three main points: confidentiality, availability, and integrity of the information, as well as widely complying with the Security European Regulation applied in paymaster bodies in order to manage FEADER and FEAGA subsidies.
In Spain, only a few private bodies have accredited certification, while in other Autonomous Communities are right now in the process of certifiable continuous improvement under ISO 27001 standards, due to the fact that all must comply with the demanded European Commission’s security regulations for management and payment of the subsidies.
