Las Palmas Port Authorities Renews their Commitment to Environment with ISO 14001

Las Palmas Port Authorities Director, José Miguel Pintado, received last April 30th as Public Authorities representative, from SGS, the certificate accrediting the region’s port facilities comply with quality regulation UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2004, related to the implementation of an environmental management system for the port facilities.
The Port representative highlighted their “will to differentiate themselves in the environmental responsibility commitment” and to promote a “sustainable development” of the activities they perform in their facilities.
Quality regulations, certificated by specialized agencies with international recognition, accredit against external operators and other bodies that the Port Authorities comply with a minimum standards in their capabilities.
