SGS EPC Laboratory Services has awarded the supply of laboratory equipment’s package for a new Environmental laboratory at Kamoa Copper’s site.
Kamoa Copper S.A. is the operator of the Kamoa Copper Mining Complex, one of the world’s largest copper producers. It explores the Ivanhoe Mines, started exploring in the Democratic Republic of Congo over 24 years ago. They are located in the Democratic Republique of Congo’s Lualaba Province.
SGS EPC Laboratory Services has awarded the supply of laboratory equipment’s package for a new Environmental laboratory at Kamoa Copper’s site. SGS was awarded the operation of this laboratory during next three years.
This project shows the strength of synergies between SGS’ business lines and affiliates. Laboratory will be operated by SGS division HSE and this project has been internally coordinated with SGS division "Industries & Environment", SGS in DRC and SGS in South Africa.
SGS has collaborated with Kamoa Copper for long through different business lines, mainly Natural Resources and INDUSTRY.
SGS EPC Laboratory Services is the dedicated unit to design and fit out laboratories. It’s based in Madrid (Spain) globaly working with all SGS affiliates.
SGS EPC LABS belong to Natural Resources, Oil, Gas and Chemicals but works actively with other business (EHS, IND, MIN for example)
