SGS acredita a técnicos de su Entidad Ambiental de Control para la inspección de instalaciones de energía solar térmica en edificios de Barcelona
In September 2006, Barcelona’s Council approved modifications in the Environment General Ordinance that enforce the obligation to integrate reception and solar thermical energy systems for hot water including the obligation of a certification as a previous requirement to obtain the “first occupation” license:
Hot Water destined for sanitary purposes
Water heating for swimming pools
The implementation scope described in the Ordinance is as follows:
New buildings or constructions
Buildings or constructions’ comprehensive Rehabilitation measures
Change of purpose of the whole of the building or construction
In order to comply with such obligation, the Ordinance states all facilities having a potency higher than 5 Kw (or 7,1 m2) must be supervised by accredited technicians from a Body Accredited by Barcelona’s Council and Generalitat de Catalunya. The certificate will be mandatory prior to obtain the “first occupation” license and the one for all activities for the buildings included in the Ordinance’s scope.
SGS, as Environmental Control Body accredited by Generalitat de Catalunya (accredited as EAC-021-04), has technicians accredited to perform such inspections widening the accreditation scope Barcelona’s Council and Generalitat’s Departament de Medi Ambient provide.
