Iberdrola Engineering and Building has obtained the Business Excellence Seal, given by EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Manageme). The delivery ceremony, that took place last June20th in Madrid,  had the attendance of an Iberdrola’s delegation, headed by the organisation’s Environment and Quality Manager, Carlos Fernández Briones, as well as the General Director, Alberto Sicre. On behalf of the Excellence Club, SGS ICS’ President, Ramón Robles, delivered the Seal.
Iberdrola has obtained this recognition after the Excellence Club performed an assessment, exam and validation process of their management processes, according to EFQM model, referential tool in Europe since 1990 to measure and increase business management’s quality and excellence. The seal means recognition of Iberdrola Engineering and Building’s level of quality management, guaranteed by their results (economic, with their customers, staff and society) and the quality of their processes, policies, strategies and human resources.
EFQM model is the one used by excellent organisations to assess themselves, define management improvement plans and receive international recognition as proper-managed organisations, excellence-focused. In order to harmonise all organisational improvement policies of the internal management of the company and the relationship with the customers, generating a common language that unites towards excellence via the implementation of self-diagnosis, improvement plans and shared engagements.
