El área de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales de SGS elabora el Plan de Autoprotección de Torrespacio
SGS is the organization in charge of elaborating Torrespacio’s Self-Protection Plan, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Madrid, built in Paseo de la Castellana’s widening axis with a total height of 223 metres and 57 plants.
SGS’ Health and Safety Area took charge of the H & S management for Torrespacio’s building works, and now they will redact the self-protection document according to the Self-Protection Basic Standard: R.D. 393/2007.
The Self-Protection Plan is the mechanism that determines the whole amount of measures in a building, and providing the existing resources, destined to neutralize or minimize accidents or emergencies and their potential consequences until external help arrives at the place.
It is a tool to manage all human and material resources available in the building to prevent existing risks, ensure a safe evacuation and an immediate intervention, in case of sinister. The issuance of such a plan’s objective is that all people that could be affected by an emergency must know how to act and how such actions must be managed in order to reduce as much as possible its consequences.
