SGS ICS concede la Certificación ISO 14.001:2004 y EMAS a La Fundación Entorno BCSD-España
Fundación Entorno is a private organization that helps companies reinforce their commitment to sustainable development. The company has been a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Regional Network since March 2006.
SGS ICS has recently certificated Fundación Entorno in accordance with the ISO 14001:2004 Standard and the European Regulation, Eco Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). The certification comes as a result of their implementation of an environmental management system in accordance with the ISO 14001 Standard.
ISO 14001:2004 basically outlines the requirements for environmental management systems (EMS) and is applicable to any organization that wishes to implement, maintain and improve their EMS. Furthermore, the standard ensures a company’s conformance with their own stated environmental policy, as well as their compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
Fundación Entorno also achieved certification for EMAS, a management tool for companies and other organizations to assess, report and improve their environmental performance. EN/ISO 14001 is the environmental management system required by EMAS.
Championing the organization’s business transparency, Fundación Entorno periodically publishes an environmental statement according to the EMAS European Regulation, and has it verified and validated by SGS ICS.
