SGS will impart a free seminar next June 26th at their premises in Madrid to analyze, along with other companies, the BIA as the main engine for Business Continuity Management.

The seminar will focus in the elaboration of a Business Impact Analysis, BIA, particularly in the implementation of such methodology, on the determination of resuming of activities’ periods and the possible assurance criteria for the analysis of certain impacts: outsourced services, tangible assets with great value and difficult to substitute, “lean”-based business models, etc.

The criteria to catalogue an incident as one that may affect the business continuity or up to which level of analysis of the assets can be reached will be covered, too.

The seminar has a mainly practical scope so, after showing BIA’s importance within the Business Continuity Management context and which aspects are necessary for its elaboration, we will perform a case study with a business scenario that will allow us to test the information received.
