SGS present in FITUR 2015
FITUR, the International Tourism Fair opened its doors on January 28 and attracts more than 9,000 exhibitors from 165 countries / regions and with an audience of more than 120,000 professionals and 97,000 non-professionals.
SGS has been present in FITUR thanks to the supply of certificates to different companies and municipalities that participated in this year 2015. The tourism sector is increasingly committed to continuous improvement and the requirements of the systems of quality management and the International environmental Standard ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environmental established respectively.
Peter Hividberg, Global Business Manager Hospitality and Travel SGS highlighted the international recognition of these certificates, as they are adopted by more than 1.5 million companies worldwide and also noted that the provision of quality services is a commitment each increasingly demanded by tourists visiting Spain. Agustí Ibáñez, Director of SGS in Baleares, attended and delivered all the certificates to municipalities and companies listed below.
Among the companies and municipalities taht were given the certificates we find:
- SIRENIS HOTELS & RESORTS received ISO 9001 certification for its hotels in Ibiza. The scope of the audit by SGS includes: "The provision of accommodation and catering" and covers the headquarters and four hotels Sirenis Hotels & Resorts in Ibiza.
The Marketing Director for Sirenis Hotels & Resorts, Catina Clapés said that "our goal is to offer a service with the highest standards of customer satisfaction, being respectful with the environment and with the conviction that social responsibility should be a own attitude of the company. With the integrated management system we can achieve our goals and achieve continuous improvement. This certification has been possible thanks to the work and commitment of the entire team of Sirenis Hotels & Resorts ".
- AJUNTAMENT D'ALCUDIA: Renewed ISO 14001 and received the first ISO 9001 for municipal management of all municipal beaches. In the ceremony we could count with the President of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands, Mr. Jose Ramon Bauza, the Minister of Tourism of the Balearic Government, Mr. Jaime Martinez and Mayor of the municipality Ms. Coloma Terrace.
- BE LIVE HOTELS & RESORTS: The hotel division of Globalia, the first Spanish tourism group, has certified to the ISO 14001 its 20 centers in Spain. In a commitment to quality chose SGS certified with its 19 hotels and headquarters.
